Tony Bell is a photographer based in East Anglia. Over the years he has photographed a wide variety of subjects from industrial technology to rabbit food for an eclectic assortment of clients.
By far his favourite subject: musicians! Not for him the the controlled set up of studio portraits, no Tony calls it “extreme portraiture” he captures them performing live on stage where you have no control over pose, lighting or wardrobe.
In 2014 he began an association with Grapevine Magazine where he not only photographs musicians, bands and performers but also gets the opportunity to interview them.
“Before, as a pure photographer, I was happy enough to get the shot. Since I now get to talk to the people I see through my lens, photographing them has become a much more satisfying experience – now, it’s personal!”
Tony is always happy to consider photographic project work as well as print and web design commissions – his charges depend on the project and the amount of time involved from concept to delivery.
This website may help you to get a flavour of Tony’s style from his hand picked collection images which, for one reason or another, he has chosen to share.
My favourite quote:
“Without music, life is a journey through a desert”
